With times like COVID, local businesses are pushing to keep their doors open. Many have had to make certain adjustments so that all staff and customers feel safe. With that being said, tough decisions have to be made such as cut in pay, hours or products causing companies to go under. It's always good to take into consideration that a small business may be just be a small business to you, but to someone else, it is a dream becoming reality and a huge step of faith. As a local resident and entrepreneur myself, I can relate. Here are a few ways that you can be a blessing by supporting locals: 1. Like, Follow & Share: One of the best marketing tools that will never change is word of mouth. Family, friends and people closest to you can influence others when its people you trust. Your only a post away!
2. Hard Work: I’ve heard so many people say that they would order on amazon or purchase from a big time corporation rather than purchase locally. In some cases, I have to agree, but if you want to see your city grow, then be mindful of investing into locals.
3. Give A Little More : Businesses might charge certain fees for a certain reason. There are supplies, employees and utilities that they have to maintain. When you pay for their services don’t be afraid to throw in a tip. Every little penny helps and can really motivate any entrepreneur.
4. # Hashtags: Statistics show that people can see a 50% increase in their business just by using certain hashtags. Tag #localbusiness or #supportlocalbusinesses. These two are used often and can help spread the word for entrepreneurs.
These are just a few ways that you can help support locals. We at Making Moments are very grateful for our following and for those who have continued to share or recommend us to others. We want to say thank you to every one of you for your support and we look forward to being a blessing to our community.
